Men's Team Captures 1st Place Honors at ENMU!

Your Red Raider Men's Team finished 1st this last weekend at ENMU led by Team Ropers Cole Wheeler and Wesley Thorp who claimed the Team Roping Championship for the rodeo.
It was a hard fought battle as rain delayed the start of the rodeo Thursday night 2 and a half hours. Then, Thursday slack started around 12:30am Mountain Time.

Texas Tech Lady Raiders at the CNFR 2016

After qualifying for the CNFR by 1024 points over Tarleton State in our region YOUR Lady Raiders finished 9th overall in the NATION.
That's right. Out of 137 college rodeo teams in the United States YOUR Texas Tech Lady Raiders were 9th! Way to GO ladies!
Reigning National Champion Breakaway Roper Tamara Tunick had a little bad luck this year starting out with her first calf quiting on her out of the shute causing her to miss. She placed 5th in the third round.
